Μαρία Βωνιάτου Τσιαμπάρτα:

Η Μαρία σπούδασε graphic design στην Κύπρο. Στη διάρκεια ενός ταξιδιού στην Αυστραλία με τον σύζυγο της, ανακάλυψε την τέχνη του ψηφιδωτού και του βιτρό και με την επιστροφή της ξεκίνησαν το δικό τους εργαστήρι. Eιδικεύονται στην τεχνική του βιτρό, ψηφιδωτού και χυτού γυαλιού. Πρόσφατα ξεκίνησαν να δουλεύουν με φλόγα φτιάχνοντας γυάλινες χάντρες για κοσμήματα κλπ.
Maria Voniatou Tsambarta:
Maria studied graphic design in Cyprus. During a visit to Australia with her husband Giorgos, she discovered the arts of stained glass and mosaics and on their way back they set-up their own studio in Larnaca. They are specializing in stained glass, mosaics, fired glass and recently they also began to work with hot glass, making beads for jewelry.

Cyprus Etsy Street Team at Nicosia Pop-up Festival 2014: Stella Chili!

H Cyprus Etsy Street Team συμμετέχει για πρώτη φορά στο Nicosia Pop-up Festival 2014! Το κατάστημα Cyprus Εtsy Street Team θα είναι μια συνένωση δημιουργών από διαφορετικά πεδία του design με κοινό στόχο την διάδοση του ETSY και της τέχνης τους στο κοινό του τόπου. Κάθε βδομάδα θα γνωρίζουμε ένα από τους συμμετέχοντες στο εν λόγω φεστιβάλ!

 

Cyprus Etsy Street team participates for first time at Nicosia Pop-up Festival 2014! The shop of Cyprus Etsy Street Team will unite artists from various creative fields with a common goal of spreading their designs and ETSY locally. Every week we are going to meet one of the festival's participants!

Πες μας λίγα πράγματα για τον εαυτό σου.

Αγαπώ πολύ το design και τη δημιουργία! Μου αρέσει να φτιάχνω πράγματα από τότε που θυμάμαι. Από παιδί... ζωγραφίζω, σχεδιάζω, ράβω, πλέκω... δημιουργώ! Σπούδασα graphic design και έχω αρκετή εμπειρία σαν graphic designer στη διαφήμιση και στις εκδόσεις. Εκτός από τα graphics μου αρέσει πολύ να φτιάχνω τσάντες και accessories. Ζω στη Λευκωσία με τον άντρα μου και τις δύο κόρες μας. Μου αρέσει πολύ να ταξιδεύω και να γνωρίζω νέους τόπους και κουλτούρες. Είμαι αισιόδοξη και μου αρέσει εστιάζομαι σε ότι με κάνει να αισθάνομαι όμορφα!

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I love design and creating! I like making things since I can remember! Since I was a child... I was drawing, designing, sewing, knitting... creating!
I studied graphic design and I have many years of experience as a designer in advertising and publishing. Above graphics I very much enjoy designing and making handbags and accessories. I live in Nicosia, with my husband and our two daughters. I like traveling and meeting new places and cultures. I am optimistic and I always try to focus on things and actions that make me feel happy!

Τι σε εμπνέει και από πού παίρνεις ιδέες;

Από τα παιδιά μου, το φωτεινό καιρό μας, τη θάλασσα, τις χαρούμενες μέρες, από τις όμορφες και καθημερινές ισορροπίες της ζωής.

What inspires you and where do your ideas come from?

From my children, the sunshine, the sea, from happy days and from the beautiful everyday moments of life.

Πως αποφάσισες να συμμετάσχεις στο Pop-up Festival Nicosia 2014; Ποιες είναι οι προσδοκίες σου από τη συμμετοχή σου;

Αυθόρμητα! Μόλις είχε ανακοινωθεί από την ομάδα ήμουν πολύ θετική. Εκτός από τις άμεσες πωλήσεις, προσδοκώ να γνωρίσουν καλύτερα το etsy.com και στην Κύπρο.

How did you decide to participate to Pop-up Festival Nicosia 2014? / What are your expectations from your participation?

Spontaneously! I was very positive when I first read the team's announcement. Besides the direct sales, I expect that people in Cyprus will "meet" etsy.com.

Πότε άνοιξες το ETSY shop σου; Γιατί επέλεξες το ΕTSY για να ανοίξεις το e-shop σου και να πουλάς τις δημιουργίες σου;    

Το 2009 βρήκα το etsy και έγινα μέλος. Εκεί ανακάλυψα αυτό τον υπέροχο κόσμο δημιουργίας! Παρόλο που το είχα συνεχώς στο μυαλό μου, δεν λειτούργησα αμέσως το κατάστημα μου κυρίως λόγω έλλειψης χρόνου. Αρχές του 2012 αποφάσισα να πάρω το θέμα θερμά, και έτσι έφτιαξα το πρώτο μου κατάστημα, το StellaChili, το κατάστημα με τσάντες και accessories, και μερικούς μήνες αργότερα, έφτιαξα και το PrintsByStellaChili, με art prints.

When did you open your ETSY shop? Why did you choose ΕTSY as the e-shop to sell your creations? 

In 2009 I found etsy and I became a member. I discovered this great world of creation! Although I had it in my mind all the time I couldn’t spare some time to make a shop. In the first months of 2012 I decided to take it seriously, so I created my first shop, StellaChili, with handbags and accessories, and a few months later I made my second one PrintsByStellaChili, with art prints.

Θα πρότεινες σε κάποιον/α το ETSY που θα ήθελε να πουλήσει διαδικτυακά τις δημιουργίες του/της;

Σίγουρα! Το προτίνω πολύ συχνά. 

Would you suggest ETSY to someone who would like to sell online his/her creation?

Sure! I suggest it very often.

We are transforming our shop at Kannari 15, Saripolou in Limassol into a pop up collective for all of December to bring you handmade gifts seven days a week, opening times 1pm-10pm. Unique hand-crafted and vintage items by undun, Paraskevi Gelaraki, Gaia Olea, Peace Elements - Treasure Trove, Peripatum Chest and Micro will be featured. 

Come join us for our festive opening night at 6pm to be the first to view our newly created space with mulled wine, hot chai, nibbles and music : )
