Cyprus Etsy Street Team at Nicosia Pop-up Festival 2014: bomboniDi!

H Cyprus Etsy Street Team συμμετέχει για πρώτη φορά στο Nicosia Pop-up Festival 2014! Το κατάστημα Cyprus Εtsy Street Team θα είναι μια συνένωση δημιουργών από διαφορετικά πεδία του design με κοινό στόχο την διάδοση του ETSY και της τέχνης τους στο κοινό του τόπου. Κάθε βδομάδα θα γνωρίζουμε ένα από τους συμμετέχοντες στο εν λόγω φεστιβάλ!  
Cyprus Etsy Street team participates for first time at Nicosia Pop-up Festival 2014! The shop of Cyprus Etsy Street Team will unite artists from various creative fields with a common goal of spreading their designs and ETSY locally. Every week we are going to meet one of the festival's participants!

Πες μας λίγα πράγματα για τον εαυτό σου. 
Γεια! Ονομάζομαι Ντία. Ασχολούμαι με το χειροποιήτο κόσμημα εδώ και 8 χρόνια. 'Εχω σπουδάσει χειροποίητο και παραγωγικό κόσμημα καθώς και σχέδιο κοσμήματος. 

Tell us a bit about yourself. 
My name is Dia Mina. I work with handmade jewelry for 8 years now. I have studied handmade and Industrial Jewelry making as well as Jewelry Design abroad.

Τι σε εμπνέει και από πού παίρνεις ιδέες; 
Μέσα από το κόσμημα εκφράζομαι και δημιουργώ, παίρνοντας έμπνευση από την καθημερινότητα μου. Γενικότερα ζω στη φύση και εμπνέομαι απ' αυτήν. Γι αυτό και η θεματολογία και το ύφος των κοσμημάτων μου  ποικίλουν, ανάλογα με τις εμπειρίες και τα βιώματα μου την δεδομένη στιγμή. Η αρχική ιδέα μπορεί να καταλήξει σε κάτι εντελώς διαφορετικό, στην διαδικασία κατασκευής, γιατί στην πορεία, η έμπνευση έχει τη δική της δυναμική.  

What inspires you and where do your ideas come from? 

While working with the creation of jewelries I inspire and create. My inspiration comes out from my daily life. In general, I live in the nature and I inspire from it. That is the reason that the topics and the style of my jewelries varies and it is integrally interconnected with my experiences at the specific time period. The original idea of a jewelry can change and becomes something completely different during its formation process because during the procedure of creation the inspiration has its own dynamic.

Πως αποφάσισες να συμμετάσχεις στο Pop-up Festival Nicosia 2014; Ποιες είναι οι προσδοκίες σου από τη συμμετοχή σου; 
Πιστεύοντας πως η τέχνη πρέπει να μοιράζεται, αποφάσισα να συμετάσχω στο  Etsy Street Teams’ PopUp Shop at the Nicosia PopUp Festival 2014 και να θέσω τα έργα μου στην κρίση ενός πιο ευαισθητοποιημένου κοινού, ώστε  μέσα από αυτή την επικοινωνία να βελτιωθώ σαν άτομο και σαν καλλιτέχνης. 

How did you decide to participate to Pop-up Festival Nicosia 2014? / What are your expectations from your participation? 

Believing that art must be shared I have decided to participate in Etsy Street Teams’ PopUp Shop at the Nicosia PopUp Festival 2014 and put my creation in the judgment of a more sensitive public, in order to use this communication as a method to improve as a person and as an artist.

Πότε άνοιξες το ETSY shop σου; Γιατί επέλεξες το ΕTSY για να ανοίξεις το e-shop σου και να πουλάς τις δημιουργίες σου;     
Το κατάστημα μου στο Etsy, λειτουργεί από τον Οκτώβριο και είναι ακόμα υπό κατασκευή! 

When did you open your ETSY shop? Why did you choose ΕTSY as the e-shop to sell your creations?  

My online Etsy Shop is active since October 2014 and it is still under construction. Feel free to visit though as I will be continuously update it.

Θα πρότεινες σε κάποιον/α το ETSY που θα ήθελε να πουλήσει διαδικτυακά τις δημιουργίες του/της;
Nαι, φυσικά θα το πρότεινα. Θα έχει την ευκαιρία να δικτυωθεί σε μια παγκόσμια αγορά και να επεκτείνει τους ορίζοντες του.  

Would you suggest ETSY to someone who would like to sell online his/her creation? 

Yes, of course I would suggest it. It is an opportunity to connect in a global market and broaden his or hers horizons.
